About Me

Welcome to my wonderful world. I am an artist based in Cape Town, South Africa. I work all day and paint into the night.

The little sketches and ideas never stop. I have always loved portrait work and I have discovered a love and passion for botanical paintings and animal illustrations, with nature as a muse there is no end to the possibilities. 

I am inspired by the beauty in the world around me, nothing beats exploring rock pools, discovering little hidden gems in antique shops and vintage books. And then rounding everything off with a slice of my favorite carrot cake and coffee.

In my work I enjoy the tactile experience offered by water color paint and seeing layer after layer build up with textures into a completed work.

I have been creating since 2004 and I am a self-taught artist. 

My favorite medium to work to work in at present is water color.

I also work with pencil, pen and ink, charcoal and gauche. I work independently from the initial sketching of new concepts to the final product.

My passion to create is linked to my love of life.
